Website Feature Highlight 4: Content Distribution

The OVMRC website has many connections to other online platforms and services. They provide convenient options for member and non-members to access OVMRC content with their preferred tools and platforms.

Website
All content is primarily posted and accessible on the website itself ovmrc.ca. Content will remain accessible from the website regardless of age. We are also actively working on uploading a comprehensive catalogue of newsletters going back to the founding days of the club.

Groups.io
The OVMRC Groups.io page is the primary location for long-form discussion between members. In addition to discussions, you will find all new website posts are automatically posted to the groups.io via an RSS feed. This is a great way to follow ovmrc.ca content if you are already an active groups.io user. Groups.io is also a great way to continue the conversation about a particular Rambler issue or other website post.

Direct RSS Feed
The RSS feed that aggregates content to the groups.io page can also be accessed directly using your RSS client of choice. This will allow you to read new website posts in a manner similar to how email is delivered to an inbox. Many existing email clients support RSS.

X/Twitter, Bluesky, Telegram
Twitter/X, Bluesky, and Telegram are social media and messaging platforms. All new website posts are delivered to these feeds via website plugins. These platforms are convenient for users who prefer to get their information in their existing social feeds. These platforms also expose our club to new audiences who many not have heard of the OVMRC, or amateur radio in general!
